Take a Look at My Favorites from My Closet

Take a Look at My Favorites from My Closet

Alright, alright, alright it’s my first fashion post! I really do have a passion for fashion and my dream job would probably be writing for Vogue or being a celebrity stylist. I always wondered though how celebrities really pick their stylists or even how stylists end up working with celebrities. I mean I always believe in hard work paying off but networking can be an important aspect when you want to work your way up to that level. I’m writing it right here right now, one day I’ll be there, one day.

Okay let’s get back down to business, actually not really this isn’t supposed to be a serious blog. I recently took the time to clean out my closet actually closets, yes with an ‘s.’ Backstory- so I live in my apartment during the school year, which is one of my closets, then when I come home I have one in my bedroom which makes two, then I use another one in the guest bedroom which makes three. Now, let’s make this clear, I am not a hoarder and most of the time all three closets aren’t completely full. But I’m here to talk fashion so let’s jump right in. I wanted to write about some of the most recent accessories or pieces of clothing I am really into right now and where I got them. Here we go.

1.     Large Gold Hoop Earrings

I actually decided I wanted to get some like yesterday, so I actually got a pack of three different sizes at Charming Charlie for just $15. I really like to wear them when I slick my hair back into a bun because I feel like I’m “Jenny from the Block.” You can dress them down or dress them up there’s nothing you can’t wear with them. In a sense, they give off the true identity of feminism.

2.     Yeezy 700 Wave Runner Sneakers

I wanted to get the Wave Runner 700’s when they first came out on Adidas’ website, I would have paid the retail price of $300 in a second, but they sold out within minutes. But, my brother’s girlfriend came across this site where she got knockoff Balenciaga’s that looked identical to the originals. So, I decided to purchase knockoffs of the 700’s and when they came I couldn’t have been happier. I was always sketched out about ordering from websites like these, because of past purchases that went wrong, but they are reliable and their products are the highest of quality. I still got these for $136.00 which might be a lot for people, but my love language is shoes so these were a pretty good deal for me. Even though they do have bright colors in them, it’s easy to just slip on with leggings, sweatpants, or anything neutral. If you’re a shoe addict like me click here to get a discounted price on your favorite high-end sneakers.

3.     First of A Kind Shirts

This is my daily go-to. I have two or three of them I bought in New York at the LF Brand store. Vintage is so in right now and these shirts are the epitome of vintage with the washed-out colors and unique distressed design. Their price point is pretty ridiculous, but these shirts weren’t too bad of a price, I want to say they were about $60. I really do get good use out of them and they were well worth the money. 4.     Rings

I think rings are probably my favorite accessory and they have been for a while now. I love the brass knuckles kind of look, weird I know. I started out with three rings about a year ago a heart from Gucci ($165 sold out), a gold lion from J. Crew ($59.50), and a pinky ring with an “M” on it from Etsy ($50). I also added a knock-off Versace ring I purchased from Etsy as well ($36). Rings are fun to accessories with, there’s no color code you might have to break every ring goes with each other. I wear these literally every day I think the only time I take them off is to shower. I also think it makes my fingers look longer and skinnier which is always a plus.

5.     Free People Blazer

You can never go wrong with a good blazer. It can literally go with anything: sweatpants, jeans, a dress, biker shorts it just depends how dressed up you want to go. This one has a light pink tint to it, which is neutral enough to go with anything. Color doesn’t really matter though in my opinion when it comes to blazers, because the style of one is a statement itself. I did get it on sale at Von Maur ($84) but unfortunately, it’s sold out now, there are quite a few though on their website so go check them out here.

Whatever my mood depends on what I’m wearing that day, but my mood can also change if I don’t feel comfortable in what I’m wearing. Always make sure you feel the most confident and beautiful in your clothes because that will make you stand out from the crowd. I hope you enjoyed taking a little look at my closet. I look forward to showing you my journey in expanding in fashion and my own fashion sense.
